Users and Groups

In the user overview, you will first see the initially created user and the associated e-mail address.
This created user also has the Tenant Admin role.
An e-mail address is always required to log in to the REDDOXX Cloud.

In addition to synchronisation via Cloud Connector or M365, users can be created manually here via "Add user".
These are local users that are not synchronised "back".
You can see from the lock symbol if a user is an "external" user.

Locally created users do not initially have a password, so it is necessary to click on "Forgot password" when logging in for the first time in order to receive a link to set a password.

If you click on a user name (on the left in the list, not to be confused with the username in the centre), you can assign the Tenant Admin role to the user if desired.
Local users can also be edited or deleted.

Mailboxes can be either User or shared Mailboxes. You can create additional mailboxes in the mailbox management, where you specify whether it should be a "shared mailbox" or a "user mailbox". In any case, a name, user and corresponding E-Mail Address is required when adding additional mailboxes.

The E-Mail Addresses overview provides a list of created addresses (which are specified during the creation of a user or a mailbox) and also shows the linked owner.

In the group management, you can create additional groups (in addition to groups that may already have been created or synchronized).
A group always has an E-Mail Address and can have any number of users as members (who are then authorized to read the archived E-Mails of this address)

To ensure that no third parties create email addresses in the cloud, the associated domain must be authorized via DNS TXT record.
To do this, click on "Add", enter the name of the domain and you will receive a TXT record that you must add to the DNS of the domain.
As soon as this entry is available and has been verified via "validate", you will find the domain in the overview.
